What It Is

City War is the updated Town War system. Guilds fight over control of a town in a dedicated capture-the-point arena. Attackers try to take the city, defenders try to hold it. Declaring War (Attackers) An attacker commander declares war at the Town War NPC (same flow as before). Requirements:

  • Must be in PvP League
  • Can only declare during 18:00–21:00 server time
  • 15,000 gold + 200 platinum fee
  • City must not be on post-capture protection cooldown
  • Veteran towns require the commander to be a veteran
  • Max 3 city wars per day globally; no overlapping time slots
  • After declaration, the war starts 24 hours later (world broadcasts count down).

War Timeline (4 Phases) 1 — Prep 30 minutes Rosters are built; town stone disabled; defenders can join via town stone 2 — Fight 30 minutes Arena combat, capture points, scoring 3 — Grace 5 minutes War is over; players stay in arena briefly, then return 4 — Cleanup Instant Everyone returned, guilds restored, Teams & Rosters

  • Attackers — led by the declaring commander
  • Defenders — town owners/citizens who join through the town stone during prep
  • Max 5 fighters per team (including commander)
  • All fighters must be in PvP League
  • Veteran towns: all fighters must be veterans

Commander Role Each side has one commander with a Commander gump (.commander or auto-opened on join):

  • Add Member — target a player to invite (they must accept)
  • Remove Member — only during prep phase
  • Teleport Team to Arena — only during fight phase; teleports your team only
  • Commanders cannot remove themselves from the roster.

Getting to the Arena

  • Gear check before teleport:

No magic, unique, composite, enchanted, set items. Just regular gray items are allowed The Arena & Capture Points

  • Fight takes place in a fixed arena zone
  • 3 capture points: East, NorthWest, South
  • Only members of one team may stand in a point’s zone to capture it
  • If both teams are present, capture does not progress
  • 5 uninterrupted seconds with sole team presence captures the point
  • Arena-wide messages announce capture start and completion

Scoring & Winning

  • Each held capture point earns 1 point per second for that team
  • First team to 1,500 points wins immediately
  • Score updates are broadcast in the arena every 15 seconds
  • Fight time remaining is broadcast every 5 minutes
  • If time runs out without 1,500 points: higher score wins (defenders win ties at 0–0)
  • Use .twtime while in the war for phase, timer, and score info.

Fight-Phase Rules (In Arena) While in the arena during fight phase:

  • No travel — recall, gate, runebooks, shade shift, etc. are blocked
  • No help room teleport
  • Cannot equip restricted gear
  • Druids cannot store charms in their charm bag during the fight

Arena props

  • each team tent has: healer, ankh, banker, stabler and doors
  • tent doors: can be opened only by that team and tent can be entered only be the owning team, enemies are kicked out
